The Rules

Welcome to Lexi and Carrie's

RULES OF HORROR

As you may or may not know, we're big horror fans. We've watched enough of these movies to be prepared for some real life action, or at least help out some of our poor horror characters. With our diligent observence of the genre we've gathered a list of Horror Movie Rules based on the stereotypes, style, and tropes of the genre. These should be a helpful way to get you out of a horrific situation whether you are in a slasher story, a demonic happening, or even some paranormal activity.

Follow the rules to get to the end, and be a survivor!

Rule #1: Shoot Them In The Head

The most important rule.

It doesn't matter if he's down

(See Rule #2 for clarity).

Finish the job, Better safe than sorry!

Rule #2: If it almost died and miraculously lived, it will probably happen again.

So chop off his head or something, jeez!

These creatures chasing you are ungodly, unholy, and more than likely can defy death past the capability of most people you know.

Once in the head may not always be enough.

Rule #3: If you friend is fighting for their life, don’t call out his or her name.

Your friend is clearly busy. When they turn to look at you and get killed, you will feel salty.

You've been spotted or caught. Death is getting imminent. If some heroic person risks their life to fend off the thing that's been making your life a living hell the past hour or so, Leave this person be.

Screaming a name is not going to help. anything.

Don't be a distraction.

Rule #4: If your child tells you some random piece of information, don’t blow them off

Kids will be kids.

Kids have wild imaginations.

Kids do not know as much as adults.

Kids aren’t always creepy little psychopaths, sometimes they have important knowledge to contribute.

Unlike adults, kids usually aren’t as oblivious to key details which may help save your life.

Rule #5: Never start a sentence with “When we get out of here…” because you won’t

The world has become a horrendus debacle.

Everyone around you is either dead, dying or crazy.

Live in the moment! Stay Strong.

Conversations about “when this is all over” or plans for the future won’t mean anything with an axe in your skull.

Just worry about getting yourself out alive.

Rule # 6: Never trust anyone with blood on them, unless you saw how it got there

If someone approaches you covered in blood, assume the worst.

Blood can mean a lot of things.

They may be have just been hurt by the villian

They might also be the villian.

Be Careful.

He might be violent, psychotic, cannibalistic

Watch out!
